HATHA YOGA

 

Hatha Yoga defines the approach of yoga through postures in relation with other paths such as Bhakti Yoga (chanting, recitation of prayers), Jnana Yoga (reading and commenting philosophical texts), Karma Yoga (dedication of our actions to the Devine), Raja Yoga (practice of meditation). These different paths complement each other. Different styles of Hatha Yoga have and are being developed throught time.

 

HATHA YOGA IYENGAR

 

Named after its founder, Iyengar yoga is characterized by a particular attention to alignment, symetry and precision in practicing postures. The use of props such as blankets, blocs, belts, bolsters and chairs allows each practitioner to benefit more deeply from each posture and work more efficiently at improving body imbalances durably.

 

HATHA YOGA DE L'ENERGIE

 

While practicing postures, the emphasis is on feeling the circulation of energy in the body.
